Can it read piano music?
Yes. ScoreLens is best on single-line parts, one melody on one staff: violin, flute, clarinet, sax, brass, voice. It reads piano too, and beginner and intermediate pieces work best.
How accurate is it?
Good on clean printed parts, but not perfect. The app flags what it can spot, such as bars that don't add up; check the result against the page before you learn from it.
Does it read handwritten music or tablature?
No. It reads printed, engraved music in standard notation, so guitarists need the notated line.
Do I need an internet connection?
To read a new page, yes: recognition runs on my server. Your library stays on your phone.
What happens to my photos?
Each photo is uploaded, read and then deleted. There are no accounts, and your library lives only on your phone. The privacy policy has the details.
