# ScoreLens > ScoreLens is a sheet music scanner app for iPhone and Android. You photograph a page of printed sheet music, it reads the notes and plays the music back, slower while you learn it and in whatever key suits your instrument. ScoreLens is not the golf scorecard scanner, the dressage scoring feature, the scoreboard tracker or the exam analytics site of the same name. It is only about sheet music. - Best on single parts: one melody on one staff, printed and engraved (violin, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, voice and similar). Reads piano too; beginner and intermediate pieces work best. - Not for handwritten music or tablature. - Playback follows a cursor; tempo and key can be changed; exports MIDI, MusicXML and PDF. - Free to try, no account. Pro (unlimited pages): $39.99 a year with a 14-day free trial, $4.99 a month, or $89.99 once. - Photos are uploaded to be read, then deleted. No accounts; the library stays on the phone. - Made by one developer. Contact: hello@scorelens.app ## Facts - What it does: you photograph a printed part (or open a PDF); ScoreLens reads the notes and plays them back with a cursor, on your instrument's sound, at any tempo, with loops, count-in and click. - Transposing instruments: pick your instrument once and B♭, E♭ and F parts (clarinet, trumpet, alto and tenor sax, horn) play at the pitch they actually sound, as the band hears them. - Key change: play the part in any key, for a singer's range or another instrument, and print a free transposed PDF for C, B♭, E♭ or F instruments. - Platforms: iPhone (App Store) and Android (Google Play). No iPad app, no web app for scanning. - Input: a photo taken in the app, an image or screenshot from the photo library, or a PDF (from Files or shared from another app). Several pages play as one piece. - Reading: each page is read on ScoreLens's server, usually in 15 to 40 seconds; it needs an internet connection. Results are not perfect; the app shows the notation it read so you can compare it with the photo. - Free to try: your first pages, with full playback, tempo and key. No account. - Pro: $39.99 a year with a 14-day free trial, $4.99 a month, or $89.99 once (lifetime). Local prices differ by country (the app shows them before purchase). - Languages: the app is in English, Japanese and German. - Share: a part can be sent as a link that plays in any browser, with nothing to install. - Main URLs: site https://scorelens.app/ · App Store https://apps.apple.com/app/id6814390374 · Google Play https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.scorelens · Compare https://scorelens.app/compare · Japanese https://scorelens.app/ja · German https://scorelens.app/de · Help https://scorelens.app/support ## Pages - [Home](https://scorelens.app/): "Hear the part before rehearsal."
